I loved watching Saturday morning cartoons when I was a kid. Okay, I can’t lie. I still love watching cartoons! In fact, I love all kinds of animation. I spend time searching the internet for fun animation when I need a little relaxing time. I thought it would be fun to have my own version of Saturday morning cartoons here on the blog so I can share some of my favorite animation from television and the internet with you. Since my favorite type of animation is stop motion there will be a lot of focus there, but sometimes I find something really special that I just have to show you. This week is an example of that.
This is an animation called “Colour”. In it we see how a child imagines animals got their color…or in the case of one animal how it didn’t.

I love this video because it’s so detailed while being so simple at the same time. And it’s such a fun concept. A paint by number daydream that turns into a colorful work of art. I love that the animator took the idea of a child’s art activity to show us a picture into the mind of the child in the video.
p.s. I think the panda turned out pretty cute!
